Products & technology
I am new to the range. What do I buy first?
The shell, because it determines what you can do in bad weather and it is the piece you will keep longest. TALON™ if you ski off-piste or tour, MURMUR™ if you are mostly on resort and want the insulation built in, PREEN™ if you already have a shell and want a packable layer for rain.
Then a HACKLE™ or COVERT™ midlayer, then a BROOD™ baselayer.
How does the layering system work?
Three layers, each with one job. BROOD™ against the skin moves moisture away from the body. COVERT™ or HACKLE™ in the middle holds the warmth. TALON™ or PREEN™ on the outside keeps the weather off. Nothing does two jobs, which is what makes it possible to adjust one layer without redesigning the whole kit.
What is the difference between 2L and 3L?
A 3-layer fabric bonds the face fabric, the membrane and the backer into one piece. It is more durable, more breathable and more packable. TALON™ is 3L at 20K/20K, with no insulation — the warmth comes from what you put under it.
A 2-layer fabric hangs a separate liner behind the membrane, which makes room for insulation to be built into the garment. MURMUR™ is 2L and insulated, which is why it works as a one-piece resort jacket.
What does 20K/20K mean?
The first number is waterproofing: a 20,000 mm column of water can sit on the fabric before it leaks. The second is breathability: 20,000 g of water vapour can pass through a square metre in 24 hours.
20K/20K is the point at which a shell stops being the limiting factor in a full day of shifting conditions.
Why is there no down in the range?
Down is warmer per gram and it stops working when it gets wet. Everything we build is aimed at cold, damp, active use where a garment sees sweat from the inside and weather from the outside. Synthetic insulation keeps a usable amount of its warmth when damp and dries much faster.
Which pieces are unisex?
HACKLE™ jacket, HACKLE™ vest, ROOST™ parka and PREEN™ parka. Everything else is cut on separate men's and women's blocks, because on shells, insulated jackets and pants the fit genuinely differs.
Sizing & fit
What is the difference between Regular Fit and Loose Fit?
Regular Fit is cut close with room for one layer underneath — most of the range. Loose Fit is built to go over a full kit, with extra room through the shoulders and arms: TALON™ jacket and pants, and the PREEN™ parka.
In both cases take your normal size. The room is already in the pattern.
I am between sizes
Size up on shells and insulated jackets, size down on baselayers. Or order both and send one back — returns are free for 30 days and this is a normal way to buy from us.
What sizes do you make?
Men's pieces run S to XL. Women's pieces run XS to L. Unisex pieces run S to XL on the men's block — if you normally wear a women's M, take a men's S.
Where do I find measurements?
On the size and fit guide, along with how to take each measurement. If you need a specific figure for a specific piece before ordering, email us and we will send it the same working day.
Orders, shipping & guarantee
How much is shipping and how long does it take?
Free over €150 within the EU, €6 below that. Spain 1 to 2 working days, rest of the EU 2 to 5, UK and Switzerland 3 to 7. Full detail on the shipping and returns page.
How do returns work?
30 days from delivery, unworn and with tags on. Email your order number and we will send a prepaid label for EU orders. Refunds go back to the original payment method within five working days of the parcel reaching us.
Can I exchange for a different size?
Yes. Tell us the size you want when you start the return and we will hold it for you while yours is in transit.
My size is out of stock
Join the list and we will email when AW26 restocks land. We produce in small runs, so popular colours in the middle sizes go first and come back rather than being replaced.
What does the guarantee cover?
The statutory legal guarantee — three years from delivery in Spain, a minimum of two elsewhere in the EU. It covers defects in materials and workmanship: failed seams, lifted tape, broken zips, fabric that tears without impact, insulation that migrates. It does not cover abrasion, cuts, burns or loss of water repellency, which is maintenance.
Care
How do I wash a shell?
Close every zip, use a technical wash with no softener, run a second rinse, then tumble dry low for twenty minutes. The heat is what reactivates the water repellency. Never dry clean and never iron.
Water has stopped beading on my jacket. Is it broken?
Almost certainly not. The face fabric is dirty and the DWR needs reactivating. Wash it, tumble dry it low, and if it still soaks in, apply a reproofer. This is maintenance, not failure — most shells that get thrown away are at exactly this stage.
How should I store kit over summer?
Washed, dry, and hanging loose. Never compressed in a stuff sack for months — that is what permanently flattens synthetic insulation.
